The govt options to double Bangladesh’s exports to Canada in the future a few a long time by boosting the shipments of merchandise produced by tiny-and-medium enterprises, particularly jute goods, in accordance to a press launch.
“Bangladesh at this time earns about $1 billion from exports to Canada and we want to raise this even more,” Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi reported yesterday.
As Canada not long ago banned the use of plastic goods, it could guide to higher exports for Bangladesh.
“This is since our jute goods could serve as an choice to plastic items in the place,” he added.
